Process

design-IT uses a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. This methodology is centered on the user or is what we call 'user centric'. Users tasks are clearly specified and the users needs and cognitive limitations are taken into account. It involves the users as much a possible in the analysis and design phases.

Business requirements analysis allows us to gain a detailed understanding
of the business needs which are then broken down into discrete clearly defined requirements. These requirements provide the specifications upon which the the software or site is designed.

User analysis characterizes the people who will use the product and defines and prioritizes the audience. Task or needs analysis looks at the goals of the user and the tasks they are likely to perform. It characterizes what steps users need to take, creates scenarios for the tasks and determines which users and tasks to support.

A prototype is then design based on the input from user and task analysis. After a prototype is designed, and possibly constructed, depending on whether a paper or working prototype is being used, the product can be evaluated by the users.
